The Monster Club

On Sundays and holidays, the art gallery's children's activity Monsterklubben is open to children from 6 years and up. Under the guidance of experienced educators and artists, it is possible to try out different artistic methods, techniques and materials inspired by the current exhibition or sculpture park in workshop form. Monsterklubben also makes podcast about art, for children, of children, under the name Monsterpodden and digital Monster Clubs for those who do not have the opportunity to be with IRL; Monster TV. During the school holidays we offer an extra number of Monster Clubs and in the summer the Monster Club arranges an art camp in the beautiful sculpture park. Sometimes the Monster Club also makes guest appearances in other places in the form of pop-up clubs. From 6 years and up. Drop-in subject to availability. SEK 50 / occasion.

Sunday 20 March: Painting without brush. With inspiration from Fina Miralle's exhibition in the art gallery, we dip tissue paper in paint and wallpaper paste and paint landscapes without a brush. Educator: Johanna Törnqvist.

Sunday 27 March: Miniature landscape. We find materials in the park and create dioramas with a theme of landscape. Educator: Felicia Gaumont.

Sunday, April 3: Potato print. We are inspired by Fina Miralle's exhibition in the art gallery and cut out shapes in potatoes and print patterns. Educator: Jessica Overgaard.

Sunday, April 10: Finger puppets. With inspiration from Fina Miralle's work ‘Imatges del zoo’, we make our own animals in the form of finger puppets. Each finger gets an animal head so the hand becomes a zoo! Educator: Hedvig Bergman.

Sunday, April 24: Painting without brush. With inspiration from Fina Miralle's exhibition in the art gallery, we dip tissue paper in paint and wallpaper paste and paint landscapes without a brush. Educator: Johanna Törnqvist.

Sunday, May 1: Poster Club. With inspiration from Fina Miralle's exhibition in the art gallery, we formulate our thoughts, opinions and wishes on demonstration posters! Educator: Jennifer Bergsten.

Sunday 22 May: Classic Monster Club. We sew new stuffed animals and cozy monsters from discarded stuffed animals. Educator: Felicia Gaumont.

Sunday, May 29: Precious Trash Workshop. With textile techniques, we create something new from the rubbish we would otherwise throw away! Educator: Johanna Törnqvist.

Sunday, June 5: Collage. We create colorful collages in the spirit of Henri Matisse. Educator: Maria Kihlberg.

Sunday 12 June: Painting in the park. We head out into the beautiful sculpture park and paint nature on site. Educator: Jennifer Bergsten.
